Linkara and the Cybermat sneak onto the bridge and ambush Mechakara. They fire at each other until Mechakara flees, the Cybermat in pursuit. Nimue says that internal communications are down due to power fluctuations. Their orbit is still decaying rapidly, and they’ll enter the Earth’s atmosphere in about thirty minutes. The engine imbalance can be corrected by manual reorganization of power, but anyone who does this would die from the radiation leak. Linkara tells Nimue to consider other options while he continues the review.

As he finishes the review, Nimue reports that the engine imbalance has been corrected, and all systems are returning to normal. Linkara contacts Engineering to congratulate Iron Liz and Pollo, but Liz says that Pollo fixed the imbalance manually, and that Linkara needs to get down to Engineering…now.

Linkara rushes to Engineering. Pollo has sealed himself off from the rest of the ship behind a glass panel. Liz holds Linkara back, saying that there’s still radiation behind the glass, and that there’s no way to help Pollo. Pollo has difficulty speaking due to the damage, but he manages to say that he hopes this proves that he’s not like Mechakara. Linkara says he didn’t have to prove anything; he’s his friend. Pollo’s voice fades into silence.

Later, Liz reports that they weren’t able to find Mechakara. She asks if Pollo had a backup system, but Linkara says that Pollo was always against the idea. It would be like having a clone, it wouldn’t be the same Pollo. Linkara says that his circuitry is completely fried. Liz reminisces about how Pollo contacted her out of the blue, saying she needed to take over for Linkara while he was gone. Linkara says she’s accomplished a lot more than that, and that Pollo has always spoken highly of her.

Liz says she’s monitored all the transmissions from the ship trying to find Mechakara’s teleporter signal, but she can’t make sense of the data and gives it to Linkara. He looks it over and suddenly becomes overjoyed, saying Pollo is alive. He’s noticed a distinct positronic signal coming from Engineering and realizes that Pollo used his wireless antennae to download his consciousness somewhere. The signal trace fades when it gets to Earth so Linkara’s not sure exactly where Pollo is now, but he’s determined to find him.

As Pollo tries to remotely access the security controls, Linkara asks Pollo if he’s ever resented him. Pollo is confused by the question but Linkara presses: He asks if Pollo’s ever wondered if he’d become like Mechakara and hate humanity and Linkara. Pollo says no, and asks if Linkara’s ever wondered it. Linkara admits that he has, much to Pollo’s surprise. Pollo insists that he’s never felt mistreated by Linkara - he’s free to come and go as he pleases and he’s a paid producer of the show. Linkara has given Pollo repairs, upgrades, and even volunteered to build him a new body. Pollo considers himself to be Linkara’s friend.

Pollo is unable to get through to the security controls. Nimue says that she has a message from Mechakara for Linkara. He’s threatening to vent the ship’s atmosphere if Linkara will not release control of the ship. Linkara refuses, since he still has control of the teleportation and can easily get off the ship. Besides, Pollo doesn’t need oxygen to survive, so he can stay behind and deal with Mechakara on his own if necessary. Linkara gives his own ultimatum: if Mechakara does not surrender, he will engage the ship’s self-destruct sequence.

Mechakara does not answer. Suddenly, explosions rock the ship. Nimue reports that there are power fluctuations throughout the ship, knocking internal sensors, teleportation, and weapons offline. Iron Liz says that Mechakara’s created an imbalance in the engines and power’s out all over the place. Nimue explains that Mechakara is trying to interrupt security lockouts by causing damage to the ship. She’s programmed to interrupt security protocols if the ship is in danger. Liz warns there’s a radiation leak in Engineering. Linkara commands Nimue to start the self-destruct sequence, but Nimue says that’s not possible with the current engine imbalance.

Suddenly the door opens, revealing the Security Sentry - the Cybermat. Linkara tells Pollo to head to Engineering and try to correct the imblance - if he doesn’t, the ship will fall into the atmosphere and probably kill a lot of people. Linkara heads toward the bridge, taking the Cybermat with him.

Nimue informs Linkara that Mechakara is on Comicron-1 and is attempting to access the ship’s propulsion systems. She’s unable to lock Mechakara out of the propulsion systems, but she manages to lock him out of every other major system and begins work on locking him out of the less critical ones. Linkara commands Nimue to teleport him and Pollo to Comicron-1 and to contact the others. She does so but only Iron Liz and Doctor Linksano respond. Linksano is in the middle of a dangerous experiment and can’t leave, but he recommends deploying the “security sentry”, and Linkara agrees.

Linkara and Pollo are teleported onto a part of Comicron-1 that isn’t the bridge. Nimue explains that Mechakara gained access to secondary security and sealed the bridge. Mechkara locks down all the doors, trapping Linkara and Pollo. Linkara contacts Liz, who has been teleported to another part of the ship. Linkara says that he and Pollo will try to make their way to the bridge and unlock all the doors. He instructs Liz to head towards Engineering and secure the area. If Mechakara gains control of Engineering, he’ll have the power to kill every living thing he can find. “This is my ship, and I will destroy it before I let anything like Mechakara possess it.”

Linkara faces MissingNo. MissingNo. claims to be an Outer God that seeks to absorb all of reality, as it lacks its “beauty.” As it spread across the Multiverse, it gained many followers, but also an obstacle: Lord Vyce. MissingNo. insists that Vyce could never hope to defeat it, but nevertheless his attacks diminished MissingNo greatly. MissingNo. fled across the Multiverse to seek an opportunity to defeat Vyce without risking further damage. Linkara was that opportunity. Thanks to Linkara, Vyce was out of the way, and MissingNo. left Linkara alone and began its work. Linkara fires on MissingNo. with the Magic Gun, but it has no effect. MissingNo. simply takes the gun and absorbs it. Linkara flees into his room, commanding Nimue to put a force field over the door. MissingNo. does not pursue him.

In Linkara’s room, Nimue explains that the presence of MissingNo. has cut off her connection with Comicron-1, so there’s no way to transport to it. Even if they could, MissingNo. is attacking the ship and will absorb it soon. Nimue also reveals that the force field is not an obstacle for MissingNo. Linkara realizes with horror that MissingNo. can get to him whenever it wants and that it’s just toying with him. Nimue asks if Linkara has a plan, but Linkara confesses that using the Magic Gun was his plan; since the Magic Gun was created using magic involved with MissingNo., he figured that would be enough. Nimue points out that MissingNo. is from Pokemon, so why not try catching it with a Pokeball? But Linkara’s Pokeballs are all in the living room, and besides, MissingNo has grown so huge and powerful Linkara wouldn’t know where to throw one. Out of ideas, Linkara seeks a comic to help him focus.

Nimue informs Linkara that MissingNo. can be detected in every corner of the room and that they are surrounded. Linkara decides its time to face the music and prepares to leave the room. Before he does, he notices the Planet of the Symbiotes issue still lying on the futon and seems to get an idea. MissingNo. has been patiently waiting, and mockingly asks if this is the part where they fight. Linkara admits that none of his weapons or skills or magic can defeat MissingNo., and that he has no choice but to surrender. But before MissingNo. absorbs him, he has a question: what will it do after it has absorbed him? MissingNo. states that it will continue to absorb this and all other universes until it becomes existence itself.

“And then what are you going to do?” Linkara asks.

MissingNo. seems confused and Linkara presses the issue: what will it do once it’s completed its goal? What will it DO when it is not only the only being in reality, but literally reality itself? It can’t create anything, since that would be something different from itself and would be just absorbed back into it, so what is it going to do? Linkara points out how absorbing all of reality will make its existence a lonely one. Existence will be its prison. All possibilities and experiences will be known and completed, making them completely meaningless.

MissingNo. becomes increasingly agitated as it considers Linkara’s words. Linkara asks another question, a possibility that MissingNo. can explore: what happens to an Outer God when it dies? MissingNo. decides to find out and procedes to kill itself. All of Linkara’s companions reappear in the room, alive and unharmed, and 90s Kid is back to normal. Nimue states that all the people and property that MissingNo. has taken over the last few months has been restored.

The intruder alarm goes off again, and Linkara joins Iron Liz and 90s Kid in the living room. They can hear the Entity all around them but they can’t see it, and try as Linkara might he can’t get a lock on it with his tricorder. Liz notices static in one corner of the room and goes to investigate. Before Linkara can intervene, Liz is snatched away by the Entity. Linkara realizes that he’s in over his head and attempts to contact Angry Joe for help, but he receives no answer. Desperately, he calls one person after another begging for help, but no one answers. Finally, he realizes the awful truth: everybody is gone. Everybody on Earth has been taken by the Entity. Everybody except Linkara…and 90s Kid.

Linkara thinks back to 90s Kid’s strange behavior during the KISS Comics review, how it was 90s Kid who called Linkara and distracted him when Ninja-Style Dancer was taken, how 90s Kid was the last one with Harvey before he was taken, and how Pollo vanished when they were all in a room together. Of all the people in the world, why would the Entity leave 90s Kid?

Because the Entity IS 90s Kid. Or at least, it’s been using his image to hide in plain sight of Lord Vyce.

Linkara has also realized what the Entity really is. It has no voice of its own. Its very presence causes glitches. The poem explains everything, but he hadn’t been thinking about it the right way. “A piece of the world is missing” - it doesn’t mean it’s gone, it’s the Entity’s name: MissingNo.

“This game has been very amusing,” “90s Kid” says as he removes his sunglasses, “but I think it’s time for it to end.” His voice becomes higher and more synthesized and he opens his eyes, revealing then to be full of static. “Huuuuuuummmmmaaaaaaaaaannnnn…”

Once again, the apartment is bathed in red light. Annoyed, Linkara leaves the apartment, but suddenly finds himself in his old house. Whately and two Pyramid Heads are waiting for him. Whately explains that his Order is the same cult that sacrificed the girl to make the Magic Gun, and that they wanted Linkara to spread the word of their god - the Entity - and bring it into the nightmares of everyone in the world. The magic and spells in the old book were meant to make Linkara more malleable towards their cause. Whately sics a Pyramid Head on Linkara, but Linkara whips out a Bat’leth and kills it. The other Pyramid Head attacks, stabbing Linkara in the gut. Linkara miraculously survives, and suddenly Iron Liz, 90s Kid, and another Linkara beam in, all armed with guns. Liz fires on the Pyramid Head, stunning it.

It turns out the first Linkara is actually a hologram, and the small device on his jacket is a mobile emiter, which allows a hologram to move around outside a holodeck and interact with solid matter. Since Linkara had been harassed by Silent Hill for the last two years, he was expecting another attack and had Holokara review the Silent Hill comics while Linkara stayed in Comicron-1. Holokara disappears, and Linkara once again uses a Pokeball to capture the stunned Pyramid Head.

He turns his attention to Whately, who rants he cannot be judged. Linkara acknowledges this, adding that he can’t even turn Whately over to the police, since no one would believe what had happened. He pulls out the Magic Gun, asking if he knows the name of the girl his cult murdered. Whately doesn’t, to Linkara’s disappointment. He explains that half the reason the events of Dead/Alive happened was because the girl thought that all the people responsible for her situation were dead. He points the gun at Whately. “Let’s let her judge you, shall we?”

He fires on Whately, destroying him. Liz asks if it’s over, but before Linkara can respond, they hear the Entity’s cry. “No,” Linkara says, “this is only the beginning.”

Meanwhile, in France, Benzaie contacts SadPanda. Half of France’s population has mysteriously vanished, and Benzaie wants to make sure SadPanda is alright. Suddenly, the Entity intervenes, taking them both.

In an effort to fight the comic’s portrayal of clowns as evil or scary, Linkara introduces a new character to the show: the kind and dignified Boffo the clown. He’s taken by the Entity when Linkara isn’t looking.

Glitch: i’m not that thin

Linkara calls Iron Liz, Pollo, and 90s Kid for a meeting. He’s come to the conclusion that Harvey Finevoice has indeed been taken by the Entity, along with Doctor Linksano and Ninja-Style Dancer. But it gets worse: Nimue reports that her scanners have been showing a steady decrease of the human population over the last few months. Over one billlion people are missing. It’s only now that governments and news agencies are begininning to notice. Linkara explains that whatever is behind this is very methodical: disappearances happened in either densely populated areas where no one would notice if a few people went missing or in rural areas where there weren’t that many people to begin with, entire families are taken all at once to decrease chances of being reported, disappearances never happen when there are other people around, and there’s no residual energy trace or any indication of what happened to the victims. Linkara’s created a series of force fields, security procedures, and alarms to better protect them, and instructs Pollo to go into the living room to implement them.

While the others discuss how to best defend themselves, an alarm goes off warning of an intruder in the living room. They rush in only to find Pollo gone. Linkara attempts to scan the room, but all he finds is a faint particle trace that decays rapidly, with the remaining particles shifting wildly in mass and volume.

Uh, insert summary of Star Trek episode Mirror, Mirror, but with AT4W characters. Oh, fine…

The new advanced AI for Comicron-1 has been completed, and her name is Nimue. She also looks an awful lot like HAL 9000, which has Iron Liz concerned, but Linkara demonstrates how, thanks to the honesty and ethical guidelines installed, as well as a number of redundant safeguards, it’s unlikely Nimue will try to take control of the ship. They begin to transfer Nimue to Comicron-1, but thanks to an ion storm, the process causes Liz to be transported to a mirror universe where an evil Linkara plans to use Nimue to take over the world. Liz explains the situation to Mirror Pollo and asks for help getting back to her universe, but they’re interrupted by Mirror Linkara, who attempts to kill Liz. Liz is saved when the heroic Mirror Insano shows up and stuns Mirror Linkara. While Mirror Insano prepares to send Liz back to her universe, she asks how long before Mirror Linkara takes over the world with Comicron-1. Mirror Insano explains that with Nimue, Mirror Linkara has full control of the ship’s functions, and will easily dominate the world in a matter of days. Liz urges Mirror Insano to take control of the ship and defend the earth against Mirror Linkara. The transfer is complete, and Liz is returned to her universe.

Linkara asks what the other universe was like, and Liz says that Pollo was pretty much the same except he had a different body (specifically Linkara’s Tom Servo replica, usually on display in his living room). Pollo notes that he could really use a new body since his own is starting to wear down, but Linkara says that’s a discussion for another time. Liz describes Mirror Linkara as opinionated, egotistical, loud, and that he had delusions of grandeur because he had a spaceship. Also, his review was basically the same as Linkara’s.

“Oh, so, besides the review,” says Linkara, “I was clearly nothing like that other Linkara!”

“…Riiiiiiiight,” Liz says, hiding a smirk.

Linkara pauses, then looks at Pollo. “I’m not sure, but I think I was just insulted.”

“I’m sure,” Pollo says flatly.

Linkara finally gives his new ship a name: “Comicron-1.” Iron Liz and Harvey Finevoice point out that it was decided (via an online poll) that “Vigilant” would be its name, but Linkara says “Yes, well, it isn’t their ship, is it!?” Eventually they come to a compromise - Linkara will give the name Vigilant to the smaller scout ship within Comicron-1’s hanger bay.

Linkara breaks the connection. He tells Iron Liz to be ready for Lord Vyce’s arrival, and gives her the repaired Power Morpher. They sit around for a bit, and Linkara comments on just how weird their lives are. Liz doesn’t see it.

Vyce finally arrives, but Linkara and Liz are ready and hit him with the upgraded BFG, knocking him back. They rush in with phasers but he resists them. He scoffs at Liz, calling her an “unimportant whelp”, prompting Linkara to demand he treat her with respect. “Very well,” Vyce says, “she will die alongside you.”

Liz asks Linkara if it’s “time” yet, but Linkara tells her they have to put it off till the last minute or they’ll have nothing to fall back on. Vyce attacks and knocks Linkara and Liz unconscious, but Lieutenant Munro busts in, phasers firing. Vyce recognizes him as the “Champion” who defeated the Vorsoth and says he will deal with him later, knocking him out. Harvey Finevoice shakes Munro awake and they sneak away together.

Meanwhile, Vyce prepares to beam back to his ship with the unconscious Linkara and Liz, saying he’ll keep their heads so he can always remember this fight. But there’s no response from the ship. Linkara and Liz get up, grinning. It turns out the Angry Joe Army has taken the ship and are easily mowing down Shades. They were able to board the ship thanks to Doctor Linksano, who lowered the Time Shield. Tired of fleeing from universe to universe in fear of Vyce, Linksano has been acting as a spy for Linkara this whole time.

Linkara explains that from studying the remains of Shades, he found that they need a constant supply of power from the ship. He realized that Vyce’s armor is powered by the ship as well. This universe is so different from Vyce’s that he actually needs the armor to survive, explaining why he fled when his armor was damaged. Linkara taunted Vyce to get him off his ship long enough so that Linksano could disable the ship’s power systems.

Furious, Vyce claims that the ship wasn’t his only source of power and that he will not be defeated. Linkara and Liz morph, Linkara into the White Zeo Ranger Suit and Liz into a suit of armor. They fight until they are joined by Harvey, 90s Kid, and Munro, and together they all fire on Vyce at once. Vyce collapses - defeated, but despite the fierce attack, still alive.

Later, Linkara and Vyce are on a deserted planet in another universe. Linkara cooly explains that they don’t have the power to kill Vyce, and no universe has the resources to keep him, so they have to settle for exile. The planet is similar to Vyce’s so he can survive without the suit, but even then the suit will last for 400 years. Vyce tells Linkara that he has doomed the Multiverse to the Entity, but Linkara is skeptical the Entity even exists.

Even later, Linkara is on Vyce’s ship. He thanks Joe for his help, then discusses with Liz about what should be done with the ship. They briefly consider destroying the powerful ship, but Linkara exclaims “Hell no, it’s mine now!” and runs off to find the mini-bar.

Meanwhile, back in the apartment, no one can be seen but there’s definitely some…thing there. For a third time, the synthesized cry is heard:

Hhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmaaaaaaan…”

The cry becomes ominous laughter and static fills the screen.

The Entity does indeed exist, and it’s in Linkara’s home.
